In 2024, it’s time to ditch some outdated habits, like the idea that men should make the first move. I’m tired of this. Because it’s a much bigger problem than you think A survey of over 100 women found that less than 1 in 10 women make the first move — a shockingly low number. There’s no reason why women shouldn’t make the first move, whether that’s asking for someone’s contact information, asking them out on a date, or ambushing them with a sex toy. This is so frustrating because there is a really obvious solution: just do it. We can’t ignore that the idea that men should do the hard work is incredibly. What does this mean for gay men? Or for lesbians? My girlfriend and I have been dating for two and a half years, and if we had been afraid to make the first move because we’re both women… well, we’d still wait. It’s a silly idea that only men can do this.
2. Men are ready for it
Honestly, it shouldn’t have anything to do with how men feel – do what you want – but what’s interesting is that more men want women to make the first move than women who do it. In a survey of students about adult toys, “men preferred to be asked about adult toys more than women who preferred to ask themselves.” This difference suggests “adult toys”. So it’s not that they dislike it. Plus, would you want to date a guy who’s intimidated by a woman’s boldness? No, you’re not.

A University of California, San Francisco study found that while only a quarter of women surveyed made the first move, “72% of men, like many women, are tired of the status quo and want women to make the first move.
